Good and bad

I think one good thing about the book is that the girl got away from her dad, because it sounds like he is not a very good one. One bad thing is that the girl had to lose her mom so early in life, because she has to do every thing with out her mom's help like all the things girls go through.

About August

August is a helpful person. She has helped lily learn how to do bee keeping and she let them come and live with her because the girl had nowhere else to go. She also seems to be the one in charge out of the sisters because she is older.

Weekend

I went camping at Green Peter dam for the weekend. It was fun and we did a lot of swimming but the watter was still really cold. We fished and floated around on our raft for most of the time. The night fire was the best to me.

Things about beekeeping.

Bee's save there honey for the winter.

Without the Queen bee they would all die.

If you get stung by a bee scrape the spot don't pinch because that pushes the poison deeper.

She could have just left her there and ran away by her self. Or went to like the Governor and told them what happened and tried to get here out the right way.

My mom

My mom, Martha is a very kind person and she is willing to hand out anything she has and is giving in many ways. I like the way she jokes around a lot to make your day brighter but sometimes you can't get her to stop. When I'm in a tight spot she has always been there to support me and give good advice. Martha is willing to go out of her way to help a stranger too. She is very religious and likes to talk about god. When she gets angry she likes to say that she is at the end of her rope. When she has nothing better to do her favorite thing to do is to go to yard sales and camping.

Little Rock is in the state of Arkansas it is a relatively progressive and in the south.



A crisis erupted in Arkansas September 4th so Orval Faubus the govenor called for the National Gurads help to keep African American kids from going to school at Little Rock Hight School.



Students where choosen to attend Central Hight because of there excelent grades.



One student showed up the first day of school must not have got the phone call about the dangers of school.

Sue grew up in a Little town in Georgia called Sylvester where her dad inspired her to wright with his imaginative storeys. She got older went to college and got a major in nursing at Texas Christian University. She got out of college in 1970. Than all throughout her 20s she worked as a registered nurse. During that time she got married and had two kids, Bob and Ann.When she got to her thirties was when she got back into writing

The civil rights movement

The civil rights movement started about 1948 it was a fight for equal rights with the African Americans to be treated the same and for the same laws to apply for them as every one el'se. they had rallies, protests, Marches, nonviolent resistance, and boycott. They also didn't even get to vote. There were lots of ways they were getting miss treated by the government.

I remembered

It was the middle of the night and suddenly I remembered I needed to brush my teeth. I realized if I didn't my breath would smell bad in the morning. I knew that would be pretty gross. I got up and brushed my teeth until they where all clean and looked white. It will help me from getting any kind of mouth cancer also
